Maintaining your Protectomat dashmat is simple and ensures long-lasting performance and appearance. Crafted from our premium velour-style material, proper care will help maintain the appearance, fit, and long-term performance of your dashmat.

Routine Cleaning

• Vacuum Regularly: Use a soft brush attachment to remove dust and debris.
• Lint Removal: Use a lint roller to remove pet hair and fine particles.
• Detail Cleaning: Use a soft-bristled brush for vents and textured areas.

Spot Cleaning

• Spot Treat: Use a damp microfiber cloth with mild detergent.
• Blot Only: Do not scrub or soak the material.
• Rinse: Remove residue with a clean damp cloth.
• Dry Naturally: Air dry completely before refitting.

Step 1: Remove Packaging

• Remove the Cardboard Backing: Pull the cardboard backing straight away from the dashmat so the staples come out with it.
• Check for Staples: If any staples remain, remove them carefully as they may be sharp.

Step 2: Prepare the Fastening Tabs

• Remove Tabs from Cardboard: Peel the adhesive fastening strip from the cardboard backing.
• Cut into Pieces: Cut the strip into 6 evenly sized pieces.
• Separate the Pieces: Break the flaps apart.

Step 3: Attach Tabs to the Dashmat

• Peel One Side: Remove the backing from one side of each tab only.
• Position the Tabs: Place one tab in each corner, one in the centre, and one at the end of the dashmat.
• Adjust as Needed: Position the tabs to suit the shape of your particular dashmat.
• Important: DO NOT place fastening tabs on the airbag flap or any airbag deployment area.

Step 4: Install the Dashmat

• Position the Mat: Place the dashmat onto the dashboard and ensure all cut-outs, vents and sensors are correctly aligned.
• Secure the Tabs: Peel the remaining backing from each tab and press firmly onto the dashboard.
• Final Check: Press each tab down firmly and confirm everything is correctly aligned and secure.
